How to measure jaw crusher gap

The bearing gap determines the thickness of the oil wedge and affects the operating accuracy of the main shaft. Excessive bearing clearance will cause equipment vibration and reduce equipment life; too small clearance between bearing bushes will cause bushing to burn. Therefore, the correct adjustment of the bearing clearance of the crusher is an important issue, which must meet the specified standards
(1) Adjustment and measurement method of top clearance C
The height of the top gap can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing the thickness of the bearing pad joint surface gasket. The fewer the number of washers, the better the compression of the bearing bush, and the smoother the operation of the equipment. Therefore, the fewer shims, the better. The top clearance is usually measured by pressing lead.

(2) Adjustment and measurement method of backlash
The backlash between the bearing shell and the journal is usually measured with a feeler gauge. When measuring, the length of the feeler gauge inserted into the gap should not be less than 1/4 of the shaft diameter. The backlash of the bearing joint surface should be uniform.

(3) Measuring method of axial clearance
The axial clearance of the bearing bush is usually measured with a feeler gauge.
After years of practice, we believe that the top clearance of the bearing bush should be 0.15% ~ 0.2% of the shaft diameter, the side clearance should be 60% ~ 100% of the head clearance, and the axial clearance should be 1 ~ 3 mm
